About

Designer, developer, and the person keeping it all running.

James Brown

I'm a tech enthusiast with an entrepreneurial streak, driven to build things that make a real difference. I learn fast, take calculated risks, and look for work that pushes me past what I already know.

I work with transparency, so people always know where things stand; with commitment, so what I start gets finished properly; and with drive, so the work keeps getting better.

My background in interaction design shapes how I write software: I care about how a product feels as much as how it's built. Today that spans Ruby on Rails and Next.js applications, Azure infrastructure, networking and security, and integrating AI into everyday tools.

I'm currently the Technical & Software Specialist at Stonefield Advisory in the UK. Feel free to reach out and connect.

What I stand for

  • Transparency

Clear communication, honest timelines and no surprises. You always know where your project stands, what it costs and why.

  • Commitment

I see work through to the finish and keep supporting it after it ships. If I take something on, it gets done properly.

  • Drive

I'm always learning and always pushing the work further, and I bring that energy to every project and every team I join.
